Kameld park ceramics
BY eLLEN dahl
Ellen Dahl is a ceramic artist and nature-based facilitator creating handmade wares, sculptural forms, and immersive experiences that invite a slower, more intentional way of living.
Based in Mount Samson, Ellen draws inspiration from the natural world, finding wonder in the rhythms, textures, and connections that surround us. Her practice is grounded in the belief that creativity can be a powerful pathway to presence, self-discovery, and wellbeing.
Alongside her ceramic work, Ellen offers one-on-one clay sessions and, from time to time, facilitates small group workshops exploring mindfulness, body awareness, creativity, and connection with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.
Through both clay and nature, Ellen creates welcoming, authentic spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with what matters, and rediscover their creative spirit.
Recent experiences
In April 2026, I had the privilege of attending Clay Gulgong and participating in Throw Down Under, a week-long Australian adaptation of The Great Pottery Throw Down, hosted by master potter Keith Brymer Jones.
The experience deepened my connection to clay, creativity, and the global ceramics community, and remains a memorable chapter in my journey as a maker.
A full reflection on the experience will be shared in the Studio Journal soon.
